i have several questions about finding original parts... the wc im working on needs new battery cables. are there specific cables i should be looking for? specific length ect? and also where would i find the same bolts originally used to bolt on the wheel weights? i want them pretty much the same as they used before. and lastly how do i sand cast iron down so i can get the pits out without sanding out the lettering on it? thanks!

Sand blasting would work well on the lettering areas. If you're staying with 6v you need to use at least 02 gauge cables. It will act like the battery is run down with anything smaller. Length? Can't really say on that.

the orginal kill switch was mounted on the rear of the mag, and connected with a rod, similar to the choke rod, to the steering column next to the choke. The switch consisted of 2  thin copper spring contacts. 1 was mounted to the mag as a ground and the other one was insulated and connected to the ground wire from inside the mag. To shut it off you pulled on the rod causing the 2 contacts to touch. Bob

crud the mag was traded out for a distrubutor so how would i implament the same idea to create a kill switch? follow the wires on the jerry rigged one and put a pull type rod on it?
