Most times I see an asking price of $400-$450.  Anything under $250 is a good deal in my opinion.   Mike

Just curious, I have seen negative references to ebay lately on the forum and was wondering how many of you on this forum feel that way.  I have bought many items off ebay; items that I would not even of had a chance to buy if they were only listed at local auctions.  AC45 I did not mean to hijack your post.

I think it comes mainly from the selling side of things.  I've had my share of fees from them and have pretty well called it quits with them.
My 2 cents worth

no harm done. I just call it evil pay because of all of these new "sniper bidders" which automatically bid you to your max or will out bid you at the ast second.

Yep, I've used one of those programs before (free) and they work really good when you win it, but its an irritation when you lose something.  I just did not have the time to sit around and watch the auctions is the reason I used it.  Then my "free" time was up and it wasn't worth paying money for so - no more.

I've sold lots of items on E-Bay and bought lots of items on E-Bay and have never felt like I got screwed over in any way myself. I've sold on E-bay since '04 and have really enjoyed doing so. Also met lots of good folks on there and found lots of bargains that I would not have normally found...kinda like what Michael said. I'm with Mike on the scoop though...anything under 250.00 would be a pretty good deal and most times 400.00 or a little more is the norm.  Rick

I realize that this post had nothing to do with ebay itself, but I've been on the buying end more that the selling. I'll agree with the selling fees being a little extreme, but as a buyer I have come across more than my share of good deals. Ebay is not a live person to person auction so to speak, where the bidding will continue until someone drops over from dehydration. So as a bidder on item X and I know what my max dollar amount is, why would I give someone else minutes/hours/days to decide if he/she wants to outbid me if the item has no reserve? Welcome to the computer age, where seconds rule.

Hey guys the SC Scoop on Ebay is mine! I do appreciate it being posted here! It is in good condition, was bought at an auction and I've never used it.Hopefully someone will be able to put it to use! I agree with Rick, I enjoy buying and selling on Ebay, have meet some great people, and think there are deals to be had if you take the time to look. In fact I've bought several items from Rick in the past! Thanks, Tim

Just started selling "excess" on EBay myself. Sell some here on Forum, 1st, then over to Ebay to [ hopefully] dispose of. If there was other way's of selling items I would be happy to spread the selling out. I'm about to throw away 6 nice AC LH Bullet blades that were on EBay and did not sell, they are not all that common/needed and I'm tired of storing them. I wished someone was close enough to me to load this iron up and have fun with it!!
