Im not sure about your engine question but I have a 185 and use it for everything from mowing and baling hay to pulling wagons, right now it has the log splitter on it. it is the most versitile tractor we have. dont get me wrong they all have their job to do but it seems the 185 is big enough to plow and small enough to rake hay ...jmo...Jb

As stated by others -- great tractor. Have used mine for just about everything - plowing, discing, bush hogging, hay mowing, raking, baling - square and round. Easy to operate. Just a nice all around tractor. It's not my only tractor, but is my favorite to operate. Have had few problems -- whats the engine issue?

Oh yeah, have also used it with a seed drill and harvesting with an All Crop 60. Just very versitile machine --- and wife can run it.

The rear of the front axle yoke can be prevented from breaking if you weld in 1/4" thick or larger gussets in each corner. The gussets don't have to be very large. I can still get the oil pan off Dad's 190XT after it was repaired this way. None of our other 190's have had any problems. They all don't break but if it has a loader on it there's a good chance that it will or if you are a fast driver over rough ground like some guys are.

A natty tractor will run a higher compression ratio due to the lack of boost pushing air in it.... might be the difference?!?!?
