Well actually more than I thought it should but, the engine has a fresh overhaul, new injectors, injector pump overhauled, new clutch & pressure plate.  Four new tires, and all the gauges & lights work.  So I will be honest and say $6000..  Probably too much but it a very late year (I think).  I have other pictures if I could figure out how to downsize them so they would post.

I also forgot, starter and generator have fresh overhaul as well.  And factory three point.

Thats a real deal!! What tires cost and being a diesel makes that a great buy!!! One is coming up for auction next week, I'm intrested what it will sell for. If the economy was better I would think about it but as of now I will remain a dreamer. Ryan

I would say $6K for a rebuilt series IV D17 diesel is a great purchase.  Lets see - factory 3pt, factory live hydraulics, reliable power director, beautiful styling of the early D series -wow!  Did I mention that its a diesel??   Congrats, you have a great tractor.  I want to hear that diesel power up & go plowing....

I don't think you went wrong at all for that price, Darrel

As far as the plowing thing, now I have to find a plow that sort of fits this tractor.  Everything I have is a cat 1 hitch and the only plow I have is an old single bottom three point that I used on another tractor.

I want to thank everyone for the encouragement regarding this recent purchase.  I think my wife is beginning to question my sanity, (again).
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a source for manuals for this tractor?  It seems everybody on the net is offering manuals.  But, I remember reading some advice on where to look some time ago.
Thanks Again,
