Is anyone cutting back on the amount of farming or not farming because of rising fuel prices???? I have a friend that says he's not farming at all this year because of the prices of fuel, fertilizer, spray, ect. This is not the type of man to say one thing and do another, not the type to try to steal rental ground, ect. So I do believe him.

But what doesn't make any sence to me is he doesn't want to rent it either, told me he'll let lie nobody will rent it. Any thoughts????

Had a "bad thought"  What if, with the price of fuel, you called AAA for a tow, (We have 100 mile towing), let them pick you up, tow, drop of, etc. you know where I am going with this,
I KNOW it is not right!!! BUT I AM SURE SOMEONE WILL DO IT!

Actually here we are doing a small expansion in soybean acres,  a few more corn acres and less hay.   Fuel costs are not that big of a percentage for us.  Did fertilizers as "pre-buys", chemical costs are not intolerable, usually run about $20/acre on corn and $12 on beans.
