Can you be a little more specific about "quits", does it slip, or not engage at all, handle won't move, etc.

If it does it in Low range, it almost has to do it in high range and even worse in high. First of all it has to be full of oil and the dipstick is in the cab to check and add oil if needed. How many hrs are on it??? anything over 5000 hrs might dictate re-sealing of the tranny and it possibly might have broken clutch discs in the rev clutch pack which could be determined by removing the valve body and looking at the rev clutch pack.
