I've been quietly using this site for 6 or 8 months and don't want to appear too dumb but what does a reply of "bump" mean?

Thanks

It just means someone was moving a post to the top of the stack. Used mostly when someone is looking for tech help or when they have something for sale

Just a way to move a post back to the top so it gets seen.

Another alternative to "bump" is BTTT which stands for "back to the top", but that one is not used on this forum much, but on other forums I visit it is common.  Just a nugget of knowledge for ya....
