Found something in the AC Parts catalog fpr WD/WD45 that has me puzzled. The early and late WD45 transmission shifter control covers use different detent springs. The late syle spring has a footnote that says "for trimbath relief only".  My only guess is that is has something to do with oil splash from gears? anyone ever heard of this?
