This is at the auction I'm going to Saturday. It looks to me like one of the mowers made for JC Penny by Simplicity but I'm not sure.
What do you guys think it is? Should I consider bidding on it?
Here it is.

And here's the JC Penny mower made by Simplicity. They definitely look similar to me.

If it goes cheap I would buy it.

I'm not sure but I didn't know they were made by simplicity. Maybe my uncles yellow JC Penny rototiller was made by Simplicity?

It looks likes a Simplicity Sovereign:

If I came across one I'd buy it. They are the same as a Simplicity 7013S and are pretty rare...

I'd say the left side discharge, right side clutch pedal, and deck height adjuster was a dead giveaway. Buy it if it's cheap. Would be different.

I'd go for it, I never knew Simplicity made them for Penney's. Is that Charlie Tucker's mobile hunting blind next to the baby backhoe?

I don't know about that, I can't see the name for the sun glare. I was referring to it being a Simplicity product, and therefore worth having, even if not rare. I would say it was the same mower as the one you pictured below it. If you look at the pic, you can see the spot where the "cowling" was. I'm referring to the sheet metal "scoops" on each side of the grille. I haven't seen one of those mowers in a while. Was that where they put the headlights?

OK, D-17 IV answered that one for me. It WAS where the headlights went. Looks pretty cool with those dual headlights in there too! I'd definitely buy it, unless someone ran the bid up.

Jeff, that's not my hunting blind but next winter I want a pop-up blind for the truck box so I don't have to walk too far and can stay warmer in wind and cold. Heck I might even have to rig my 5000 lb winch up in the truck box so I don't have to lift the harvest by myself.

It also looks just like the AC 716H that my dad had once with those headlights like that.

I DIDN"T GET IT!!! It WAS a JC Penny but it had CAT stickers on it. It sold for $300 and didn't even run.
