We added a 1984 6080 to the stable yesterday. Came from Missouri and does need some work. Runs real well. This one goes with our 1980 6080 FWA and no cab. And my 1984 6080 2wd with cab. Great little tractor and very handy. rrhead(SD)

Looks like it has potential.  I've seen worse.

I like the ghost effect of multiple decals.  Was this changed on the lot in 85 or what?  Wonder if there is a story or if it's as simple as being a victim of  Deutz changes.

There  ok if you keep em wound up ,and seems like they are out of balance - front to heavy - mine will just set and spin- its real aggrivating -  good for working in hay, I,ll take a 180,185 any day over them though

This one will replace our 180 that's getting bad at jumping out of 3rd and 4th gears. Hope to fix up some day. Plan on fixing the decals somehow. Need a front grill, too. Our FWA 6080 hardly ever spins. It's never been stuck as long as we've had it. Been in cattle yards where front wheels have been over half way covered. rrhead(SD)

When the 6000 series came out with the new style cabs and the old style sheet metal I thought they were the best looking tractor ever with that setup.  Still are a great looking tractor.

I didn't care for how the four post ROPS looked compared to the two post canopy on the 100 series.

I've got a 6060 fwa with loader and it's been one of the best tractors I've ever had.I have 2 185's and there good tractors but the 60 series are so much more useful for me.What kills the 185's is the pto when shredding.I want let the younger people use it after one ran over a small tree while trying to use the breaks and panicked when it wouldn't stop with the breaks.

rr, does your FWA HAVE WEIGHTS ON THE FRONT?
Ours does and all four tires are loaded. I'm thinking it's too heavy in the front.

No weights on the front. No weights on the back, but tires are loaded. Brian, that's my nephew's 4 dub. He's had to spend alot of money on it. But it runs fine now. He likes his 8550 with Cummins in it better. Thanks for the responses. rrhead(SD)
