There is going to be an auction in my area and they have a D17 - WF with a loader and chains.  I am going to guess that it is probably a little rough as it is on a working farm.  That is all I know about it.  What would be a ballpark figure for bidding?  Any ideas would help.  Thanks, Ted

Reasonable base prices I have seen at auctions for good running equipment;
An older D17 series 1, 2, or 3 tractor alone should bring around $2000-2500.
If its a series 4, then add another $1000.
If the loader is an AC 170 type with trip bucket then add another $500-750.
If the loader is fully hydraulic like an AC 400 or AC 500, then add another $1500.
Discount for poor tires, popping out of gear, uses oil, welds on loader, etc....
