I few weeks ago i posted that i had a chance to get a 7050 with out an engine. I took a look at it yesterday and there is a few more parts missing than the engine. It is missing both hood sides. tie rods. a hydraulic screen. It has 20.8x38 tires on the back which have about 20% tread left. The front tires are bad. It does have inside rear wheel weights and a very nice grill. what would something like this worth. Will transmission parts interchangewith a 7060?   Thanks Matt

I would say not much, I bought a running 7050 at a sale with the torque limiter out for under 2000. It just depends on if there selling it for parts or a fixer upper. The one I bought they thought the transmission went out on it but I knew otherwise. The transmission should interchange but would probably have different gears.

It depends on how you are looking at, if your looking at it as something to make money on or with I look at like this. First, how much time and money is it going to take me to get from the location its at to the location I want it. (remember time might as well be money) Second, how much money will it cost to get the machine back to operating condition and could I possibly buy a working machine for what it will cost to fix the the piece of equipment I'm looking at.(remember to figure in the time it will take you to do the labor) Third, if somthing should happen and I can't repair it how much can I make by parting it out. Normaly if I am looking at somthing like that I wont buy it for then 75% of what I can get for it by parting it out. The only way to figure that out is to research what parts are selling for. Also remember time is money if I make $2000 dollars off somthing and it cost me $1000 plus 80 hours of labor then I'm only making $12.50 an hour.

Now if your looking at as a hobby that a different story. I wouldn't know what to tell you on that.

$1000-1500 tops.  I have seen them sell running for $5000 to $6000.

Some of the tranny parts fix a PD 7060....none of the input shafts and gears do and 4th gear is also different top and bottom.

I asked this a while ago and can't remember if you gave an answer but does that 7050 have the extended rear axles? If so and you decide to part it out I might be interested in an axle.

It would be for parts only. There are two brothers that own it and they have to come up with a price. The one brother has a 7060 and if the transmission parts would inthercahange he would want to keep it. It has the standard rear axles in it. I did get a pair of 18.4x38 power adjust rims and tires with all the mounting hardware off a 210 from them.     Thanks Matt
