im just curious as to why there is a lock on the clutch on my WC?? anyone know the reasoning?

1. It is a safety device to be used when crank starting the tractor.
2. If you store the tractor for long periods of time, the clutch can be locked out so it won't "freeze" to the flywheel.

Also easier cranking/starting in cold weather.

Also to engage the belt pulley while the motor is running and to stop belt driven equipment while the motor is running.
