 wondering is there a site to tell where a tractor or other allischalmers equiptment was bought new years ago by its serial # it interesting me which state it was sold and worked the most of its life ( just wondering) . dudley

   I think it is fairly certain those records were lost when Allis Chalmers folded back in the 80's.

Mine was bought new in Shelbyville, Indiana.. tags are still sticking on it

Dealers were given monthly print-out's of stock all over there territory. They could find machines at other dealers lot's and "buy" them, go get them, and provide to there customers. These monthly reports had serial #'s, pricing, etc on the machines. Most times the machines siting on lots[ ones sitting for long times] were still avavilable at price when delivered, meaning a dealer could buy the machine at price before any price increase was supplied, [ win-win for the dealer willing to travel and P/U machine to sell to his customer]. These monthly print-out's are out there.
