Just got a set of tire chains...free. Now I just need to see if they are the right size, I just eyeballed... The set together probably weighs more than me. Should be entertaining for the dog LOL. I'll let ya all know how they fit.

I'm sure they are the right size if they were free. It's all I can do to lift one of my chains, but when you need em and they're on the tractor, the wrestling match is well worth it.

I lay the chain down behind the tire face down then back the tractor on the chain, run a wire (no9 wire) through the rim and wheel center next to a spin lock (not near the valve stem) then just back up until you see the chain on the back side of tractor.

Got one side on, about 2 cross bars too long so I cut them off and zip tied up the extra links. They are a bit narrow and hang over each side wall about an 1-2 inches so I used a ratchet strap on the outside and I'm going to put one on the inside as well. drove it to the road and back and it didn't start to walk off yet. Will be a trial and error as this is my first set on a big tractor.

Once I get new tires they may not fit. I can probably at least trade them for a set that does.

You should try putting chains on 4 - 20.8 x 38s some time. Dad used to custom grind hay, and the 7060 was the loader tractor, and when the customer's lot was on a snow packed ice covered hillside, we had chains on all four rear tires. Would take longer to chain up, and tear down, than it did to grind the hay. It was even more fun when it started to thaw on those warm winter days, and that greese layer formed. WOOHOO, that I don't miss!! :)

I jack up the tire and roll mine on. It took about an hour to get one side to fit. They fit tight. The other side I wrestled with for about two hours before I went and bought a couple add a links. Glad you hear you got em on!
