Finally got around to taking some new pictures of my 38B #751. Trying awful hard to keep very original. Glenn found me some weights for the arched axle which are kinda hard to come by. This was mostly my last winter project but still find a few things to add or change to keep original. Just wish someone still made 400 x 15 single rib tires, but as far as I know they don't.

That's a beauty! After a few years and some money, I hope to have my '39 B looking half that good.

Don, are you talking about the belt pulley. MY 38 has the same size taper as the CA. I took off the belt pulley and mounted the veebelt pulley of the CA on to the my38 B #254. Charlie

I like that seat cushion. Is that the canvas material? Much more original looking than the black ones most of us have.

Gary, she sure looks sharp!
I still got to mail you some oil filters, I just been lazy, that's all.... Glad you got that early Zenith sediment bowl, that is gonna be a nice touch to make it more original when you get it mounted. Let me know if you need me to scrounge anything else for you.

Awesome job. Bill Long will be proud! Check Miller Tire. I think they have 4 x 15 tri rib with the slotted side lugs (not sure what they are supposed to be called) but these (I believe) are repro molds from the original tires.

Gary, that is really a fabulous restoration. I have one I hope to do some day, I have the complete snap coupler set up for it, the front weight like you, but i need one more rear weight just like the style of rear weights you have. I would buy a pair if no singles show up. If anyone has one weight or any leads it would be appreciated. Thanks. Michael 816 898 7277

And to think 90% of the restoration work on this old 38 B was done in my barn. When It came back to life again after rusting away for many years, it sure made me fell good. Gary don't know it, but, I got all tearie eyed when it left here to live at his house.
I have a couple more Bs and Cs of my own gathering dust in the shop waiting for me to quit farming and get back to some serious restoration work. At last count I had 6 running engines and enough spare parts to have 6 complete small allis tractors.
I learned enough helping Gary with restoring B#751 to do a good job on my own when I can get around to it.
For the Guy looking for "pancake" B rear wheel weights. I know where there are 2 more sets that I can ask about.

Gary
Show a close up photo of the oil filler location on this early B transmission. I bet most folks don't know how many little things are different on these early Bs from those built later on. Also show the 46 tranny to compare Thanks for showing off our K&G Restoration work. Or is it G&K

I have no clue if this post will still get on the forum. After seeing it again it brakes my heart that Gary A sold this B # 751. That was after mounting the correct Vintage SINGLE RIB front rubber by Miller Tire.

Last I hear this B #751 is now somewhere in Arizona . New owner uses it to pull a light drag to maintain his desert driveway. Wish it was back in my barn and going to Texas antique tractor shows.
