I know this has been discussed on here before, but what do I look for when the P.D. clutch lever does not want to stay engaged, especially when the oil is cold. The clutch does not slip and will stay engaged when the oil is warm. I have the clutch out but only see minor wear on the pre-load plates. The rollers don't have flat spots but could have some wear. The release levers look OK.

you need to replace the ring that the rollers seat in   without seeing unit

Thanks Norm. The book calls those pre-load plates. The ramp on that plate has some wear. Could the rollers also be worn and adding to the problem?

Take a grinder and grind the wear marks out of overcenter plates. Cheeper than a new set and some times better.   MACK
