Bought my first 8000 series the other day and need some questions on the seat answered. Question #1: What was the glide ride suspension exactly? Isnt it air ride. Would like to see some picture of it if i could get some. Question #2: Where is a good place to get a seat refurbished like the original? The cloth with checkard pattern. Question #3: Same as the above but for a 7000 series deluxe seat.
Would like to get it redone with the AC in the top. All the after markets that i have seen didnt have the cloth come all the way down the front and had to much of a gap between the back and the bottom.
My dealer doesnt know crap hardly, so if anyone can help me out with info it would be appriciated. Sorry for the long post. Thanks Ethan.

I got a new seat bottom for my 7060 from K&M,just like original.

| Yea, K&M do about the best, still may not be exactly like you want. the glide ride seat moved up and down and forward and backward some. I dont remember it on 8000s, but caseih magnums had it. |

I bought mine from K&M .As you may know by now they do not offer the OEM pattern. I settled for a Mechanical suspension and grey seat( The same as in the 6000 series New Holland ) The brown replacement seat for the early jd 8000 series matches pretty good but I could not get them to put that together for me. I guess they must have read the bottom line on my post. By the way I am verry pleased with the seat I got from K&M ------------- Allis Chalmers still exist in my mind and barns |
