You can push snow with the blade reversed and have extensions on a SC blade. You just need to unhook to spin the hitch. Takes about 2 minutes to do, and a strong back. Went better for me the second time. I will have my snow bucket mounted next winter. Way too much snow to use only the blade and the trip bucket is aweful narrow by itself.

This is the worst drifting snow i have seen in my 30 years of being alive. If the snow plow doesnt come thru i cant make it to work tomorrow either. This sucks, i got cabin fever already and its only been 8 hours.

I just push in reverse straight blade, been pushing piles 4 ft high back and back and back. Not much room left. Can you reverse he index plates and get some angle facing rearward? I'm not sure you would get much angle. I also "pull" snow piles against blade, out from garages, etc. I have worked my blade hard and been welding up spots to keep going. Need to get the 500 loader on for next year.

I remember a while back someone was going to fab a reverse plate just like the forward one. That would give some angle options for pushing backwards. I've tried pushing back with the blade forward and it just doesn't do a good enough job for me. with the extensions, I can only blade in the 1st angle hole anway or I hit the tires. I put the bucket on this morning and used it to push through before I used the blade. Just way too much hard packed drifted snow for the blade. It's amazing how much more snow can be moved with 3 more feet of blade. Also amazing how much faster I start spinning out.

Aaron there are at least two styles of hitches...one has a different angle and you need to take an extension off. I'm not sure how to tell a difference other than to try it. As for pushing backwards at an angle, I'm sure there is a reason AC only wanted you to push backwards with the blade straight...my guess would be it is too aggressive and the chances of breaking something are a lot greater....have fun!
