I have my 6060 engine apart to fix a constant misfire.  I rebuilt the fuel pump and injectors and the miss stayed the same so I tore it down to do an inframe on it.  the machine shop I took my cylinder head to just called and said that all the cylinders are cracked between the injector hole and the valve seat opening.  Is this common with this engine?  We have had the tractor since mew, about 9000 hrs on it now.  Where would I find another cylinder head used that is not cracked?

Not common, I wonder if its been hot?    Start at the slavage yards for a used one,  have it checked for cracks no matter what they tell ya.    Ive found cracks in guaranteed crack free heads from the salvage yard.  Good luck.

Not sure about your miss fire problem, but the 2900 which the 433 is based on DID have the same problem. The crack originated from the injector hole as you described. Have the head pressure tested at temp with hot water and it will probably not find any leaks. If we had replaced every one we found this way at the dealership there wouldn`t be a head left to find.

I had no leaks of antifreeze.  There were some valves that were bad.  I have not seen them yet, I will look at them when I drop off the used head I have coming at the machinists.  I am thinking that the valve seats may have moved in the two cylinders that were missing.  When I pulled the head off two pistons had fuel on the top of them and the corresponding cylinders had goofy marks around the injector holes.  When I looked close with a light at the other cylinders they had similar marks but in a much smaller area.  I will get the head at the machine shop and maybe get a picture of it and post for all to see.  Be next week before I am back there with the other head.
 
The only time I remember it getting hot was when it had about 1800hrs on it and two sleeve got pitted through with antifreeze and it was on the blower.  It was used like that for the day as it would get the temp gage into the top side just about the time the wagon was unloaded.  My Dad said it was just the rad was plugged, not to worry...said a few different words when it got new sleeves and pistons right after....
I am not sure whether it could have started cracking from that and lasted this long or not.  The bearings show signs of having a lot of hours and in need of replacements.  Pistons not too bad and sleeves don't really look too bad either but a small ridge. Funny thing I notice no pitting of the water side of the sleeves, maybe the coolant filter we added after the new sleeves and pistons were put in made the difference...
