Has anybody seen these before and are they factory or home made. I think I might make me a set of these out of a spare set of wheels I have laying around.

Looks like a split rim welded to a spinout center.

I wasnt knocking the fact that you posted them....I think they are a much cooler way to mount duals than just bolting them together.

Looks to me like they cut the bolt pattern center out of a spin-out wheel center and extended it with a piece of steel tubing. Denis, surely home made.

Looks easy enough, cut your tubing to length, sit on old hub, cut around it with a plasma torch, weld pieces together. Probably the toughest part is mounting the two on the tractor at the same time. I guess as tight as most hubs are, you could bolt down the first, remove bolts and then bolt on the dual hub.

I may have missed something here. On our WD We had an extra set of power shift wheels and rims. When we mounted them on for duals
we just used longer bolts in the hub on the end of the axle.
No need for adapters or anything else.

Somebody else posted a while back that they will work that way...I think this setup lets you get the tires away from the fenders and gives a wider stance or else a wider gap between the duals.

So it will work with regular wheels, I was going to try it on my discing tractor but didn't know if it would work I thought the inside wheel might wear the lug holes a little because it wouldn't have the cone of the lug bolt against it.
Thanks,
Denis

Did you turn the outside wheels backwards?

I prefer the clamp on with spacer bands.Quicker and easier.

I had a set of duals on a D-17 I bolted to the hubs over the orignal wheels. I cut over sized holes in a pair of the dual wheels so I could leave two lug bolts on the tractor when putting the duals on. Safer and easier, it also left a pair of tapered bolts in hub to keep the inside wheel wheel from working on bolt holes.

Looks like a good way to break bolts if bolting two wheels to one hub if it's done for anything other than show. The one wheel fit's over a lip in the hub and this is what supports most of the weight with the bolts just keeping the wheel from falling off. When you bolt on another wheel it will just be supported by the bolts. Add the leverage of the dual sticking out there and I'd think the bolts would break if used very much.
If you want duals I'd use clamp-on duals myself.

Spacer band clamp on wheel is much simpler and easier to put on and take off.Like m16ty says,I don't know how you expect to not have problems with no pilot on the outside wheel.
