She just joined less than an hour ago.

From all the info she could have put in her 'profile' - but didn't,  we do know that she is from the USA.

Are you looking for something for him to restore one that is already done or something all original?

JC was only saying there might be a good deal on an Allis in California but if you are in New York it won't be any kind of deal after trucking it across the country. Most people on here aren't afraid to identify what part of the country they are from and that helps when finding something to buy as well as selling something.
So apparently he is interested in a Series IV D17.
Here is a link to 11 series IV D17's. You won't find any great bargains here but will get some idea of what is out there and what it might cost.  http://www.tractorhouse.com/list/list.aspx?ETID=1&catid=1110&Manu=ALLIS-CHALMERS&Mdltxt=D17+IV&mdlx=exact - http://www.tractorhouse.com/list/list.aspx?ETID=1&catid=1110&Manu=ALLIS-CHALMERS&Mdltxt=D17+IV&mdlx=exact

A place a little South of me had a D17 IV with a loader not too long ago. It looked to be in great condition. I never got a chance to find out how much they wanted for it because when I went back it was gone.
