What are some of the things you have made that is one of a kind.Things that you have modofied.Tell us or show us your homemade creations!

Built this firewood processor two years ago. Started out with our old home built splitter, a military trailer, a Freeman manure loader and a hercules power unit and ened up with this. Saw is mechanicaly powered and clutched with an ordinary 12V mower clutch. Saw dog and saw lift is by air. WIth about 45 GPM of hydraulics, the saw drive and the air compressor the little IXBL5 Herc gets a work out. We can process about a cord per hour as it is but if I was to add about 40 HP production would easily double. We can process up to 24" diameter wood and the log lift allows us to chain saw the big stuff and still use the splitter.
Kinda ugly but I dont intend to take it out on a date.

The frame paint didnt hold up that well to the oven cleaner we use to clean after cooking but I dont much care...I just want it clean when done being used....tractor supply axle, 200 gallon commercial hot water heater, some odds and ends of GM engine parts(455 cam, 1.94 SBC valves, Big Block Olds Rods, stainless grates from a commercial freezer at my buddies junk yard, gate hinges, wheels I found next to a dumpster....and this thing is TOUGH...came unhooked when a buddy hooked it to my truck....rolled 3 times, wiped out a guard rail and all I had to do was loosen the U bolts and put the axle back to center, bend the slide out tray back to straight, and it was good to go again!

| _popupControl(); Benny, Nice job on the cooker. I've found if you just let it cool after cooking the oils and grease from the hog keep the grill from rusting. Looks like you can slide the grill out to turn the hog, but you can also use a pressure washer to clean it. That'll save the paint. I usually fire mine to burn off the grill then pressure wash it if the heat don't fully clean it. It works like the self-cleaning ovens. |

Built fold up sprayer for my zero turn mower. Uses old fashioned dimmer switch to turn on and off 12v pump. Sprays 12' strip. Benny, pig cooker looks great! Made me think of our cooker we made 3 years ago.
Built on a jet ski trailer, with propane tank, and home made fire box.
We have done ribs, chicken, turkeys, brisket, pork loin, burgers, some fish, whole hogs, and this whitetail deer in the picture. Definetly worth building!
   Fire box also doubles great to cook breakfast on, for the early morning cooks!!

Too numerous to mention, and most of 'em are modifications or attachments to machines, but here's two examples from-ground-up... This is a rotary phase converter- powered by 240v single-phase, it puts out 230v three-phase to test machine tools and other 3-phase equipment.  This is a crude mobile hoisting machine, wide enough to straddle a common tandem-axle utility trailer. The overhead beam is just at 9', so lift height is limited, but it WILL roll under my current overhead doors. Has a pintle-ring up front, I shuffle it around with the 3-point I made for my D-17. It will lift and move my 10,000lb Cinci #3 vertical milling machine... but more comfortable around 5000lbs. |
