I was wondering if 53 WD45 had a known font style on the hood lettering or is this a one-off company specific design? Was thinking of having a sign shop make some special lettering. Just a thought. Doesnt Ron Stork on here make decals and such? Is there a place on that innernet thing that might show it? thanks!

I had a guy, Jeff Blair of Balir Signs, do all the custom Allis Font work on my WC decals.  He is a member on this forum and out of Oklahoma.  I think his work speaks for itself.

 Thanks Josh.

Jay, as far as I know, the Allis font is a custom built font. I do not have that font in my program and have never seen it in any sign program.

It 'should' be easy enough to scan in a known good copy of the font into a PC. Some 'magical' signshop program can figure out the 'details' and reverse engineer the whole alphabet.
I'll ask my good buddies who sell that kind of stuff later today.....
Once the alphabet is in a 'signshop' format, any of them can then make signs.

Great, just gave myself another  project !

Jaybmiller, I have built most of the alphabet in the "Allis" font but have never heard of a program that can "magically" reverse engineer the whole set from scanning a few letters. If your buddy know of something like that, let me know. That would come in handy.

I also have a friend who is a sign maker and I'm sure he'd be interested in hearing about this program. I am at least so I can get some stuff done by him myself!!! Please keep us informed!
