Do you have a general location where it may be coming from, like for instance between the engine and tranny, or farther back, left side or right, etc.? I still may not be of too much help to you, but if you can narrow it done a little, other very knowledgeable people on here can probably shed a little light on it for you. Also, I see you just got on board, so welcome.Darrel

Sorry I didnt explain further The tractor is outside at a dealers . There is a large oil spill under the back of the tractor. Couldnt really see where it was coming from Im going back to look further when its running. I guess my real question should be is there a common place to look for transmission fluid leaks and is there a seal between mtr and trans that  leaks and would have to split tractor to repair thanks in advance and really like your forum

My guess would be leaking seals on the gerotor pump where the pump slips into the rearend housing to begin with. Next the gasket between the piston pump and power steering pump. Then square O-ring seals on the supply tubes to the piston pump (2) and the power steering pump (1). Change both hydraulic filters and replace O-rings on the covers. Finally the gasket under the suction screen to the gerotor pump. Each one is probably leaking on a unit that old. Been there-dun that.

sometimes my 7010 leaks a little oil, comes from behind the pto shaft. i replaced the o ring once and that took care of it!

It could be as simple as a leaking hydraulic line.

thanks for the answers what is this geroter pump? these thing sound as they can be fixed without spliting the tractor.

There is also a screen filter in the accumulator housing, if memory serves correct.  The get cleaned out and the plate cover may not get put back on well enough.  it's about 6 or 8 inches square.  Anyways, could be lots of stuff, but that is one option with an easy fix.
