Anyone know, or know where I can find out how many D-17 diesels where made, I have a line on a second one, and it has a '59 serial number, but I don't know if there where 25000, 2500, or 250 total made?

Norm Swinford's book shows 11,052 TOTAL D17s made in 1959, with 2125 of them being diesel. ------------- Greg Kroeker 1950 WD with wide front and Freeman trip loader |

Just checked Swinford's book, I have a early 58 D17 diesel with dual front wheels, and there were only 365 made with dual front wheels in 1958. ------------- Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives. |

| i have two 17 diesels. serial number 1154 it has alot of differences between my other seriel num 13xxx the frond end is a different casting and thers no knobs on the snap coupler release lever or the brake lock lever. anybody else see another like that before? |
