Is yours too far gone to repair? Midwest Cyl Head in Nevada Ia can fix most any cast iron crack problem. I've heard many times in the past that if a cracked cast iron head is repaired correctly, it will be less prone to cracking than a non cracked head. Otherwise, Valu-Bilt has them ready to put your valves in. You might give them a call and see what they have to say.

The head has so many cracks I'm not sure how it's holding together.  It's to far gone to be fix.

When I redid our WD45D the head came from a place in Ia called THE Parts Company (cant find the link). It was repaired at Midwest Cylinder Head but the price was better than I was quoted direct from them.

Try this place

Chapin Machine & Welding CO

782 Cylinder Head Rd, Chapin, IL 62628
217 472 5121

They fixed my D19 D head. they had heads in stock for exchange, if yours is cracked they may be able to repair it.

They call themselves the best little machine shop in the country. That's because there was a machine shop IN Chapin.

You're talking about T.H.E. Company Store. They're located in Mt. Pleasant Ia. T.H.E. are the initials of the owner. Colfax Tractor Parts in Colfax Ia might have one.

Call Chapin and talk to them, I didn't think my head could be fixed either. Your not that much farther north of them than me (Streator.) It was worth the trip.

I have tried Chapin as well as Colfax.  The heads are getting harder to find. I'm willing to buy a cracked head and have it fix. The one we have just can't be fixed.

You can also try Scott Cervenkas (Askov, MN). He had one last summer when I had my D17D head rebuilt. Scott's number is (320) 838-3481.

Yes Chapin has two clylinder head shops the one in town closed about 10 years ago, the one out in the country was ran by two brothers, one died about two years ago his daughter took over, she didn't get along with the uncle left, so he moved up the same road and opened his own clylinder head shop.

Chapin machine and welding is now called RJ'S Machine and welding  217-472-5121
The new shop is called Chapin Clylinder Head & Block  217-472-3333
If you need me to check on any thing at one of the shops PM me    Andy

RJS, Are you buying "core" AC Heads? I have a 45D/230 Buda 6 cyl bare head here I would like to go. It has a previous crack/repair on 1 cyl, otherwise looks good. Also have valves/guides/etc [ some old/some NOS] for the head. PM if interested.
