Where did the hand crank mount on a unstyled WC with a wide frontend. The unstyled WCs with a wide front or single front wheel had the detachable starting crank.
Anybody have a picture of this.   Thanks BILL

Hey Bill, this might not be the original spot, but we mounted the hand crank onto the Oak board on the back of the tractor, with metal broom clips. I know its not original, but it sure works good. Also, this is a 1938 unstyled WC with narrow front, and it had the detachable crank.

This picture was taken before we put the clips on, but they are mounted to the far right on the oak board now. Should take a newer picture someday.

There should be a set up similar to a WD except mounted to the left side frame of the tractor.  I am not sure if it is correct but thats how ours is, and it works good.  Here is a picture if you can make anything of it or not.

It loks like the crank on wide or single front WC ,is the same as WD and WD45.

Have seen several unstyled WC`s with narrow front with the crank mounted on brackets on the right front frame rail. These were 37 and 38 models.  Not positive, but they sure looked like factory type brackets similar to the type WD45`s used on the inside left rear fender.

Two great looking WC's on here. I like the wide front. I have one to put on one of our WC's. I wish we had a wartime WC with the square rear end for it. I also like the OAK lumber on the other.

BILLP: What a great problem to have!
UNIT3: Come to Indiana, I have two of the steel rears if you have a tractor.
