I'm close to the point of making a counter offer on a used aftermarket loader and need input. It's a Dual 3150 loader off a 7040 been on the tractor since new but its not the original owner. The loader appears structurley good but poor paint. The bucket is not for say a quick attach. It also has no joystick controls. Not to forget it is 12 hrs away. What is a equal new loader worth? It would go on a 7080.

I paid 2500.00 for a used Bushog loader that I have on a 7020 about 3 years ago. A new one back then was around 5000.00. Check out a Westendorf. I think they mount a little easier than some others.

I put a 3100 Dual loader on a 4840 Deere. I made quick tach bucket brackets to fit the Westendorf attachments that I had before. Also, I put electric valves on the tractor for the loader so the outlets on the back of the tractor are still usable for other stuff. Then, a joystick switch for the valves. It isn't a bad loader but I think Westendorf gets more strength out of the same pounds of steel. I have had a hard time getting the cylinders not to leak. I have one left that leaks sporadically. I didn't like the shape of the original bucket. I made a 102 inch snow / corn bucket for it. Some one had a loader like that for sale on here for $900. That should be worth that.

I had the one for sale for 900. It came off of a 185 but had some repairs on the loader arms and framework. I sold it about two months back. It was way too big for what I was going to put it on, so I found a smaller loader for my d17.
