I got my truck back a few weeks ago but never got to do much with it. It still needs tires, wheels and a paint job not to mention a radio. I love the old body style Dodges (1981-1993) like this but alot of other people think that they are too good for an older truck. This one is actually somewhat rare. It has the limited edition black and silver 2-tone paint job and the body on it is in perfect condition as in no rust what so ever. But it does have a dent or two that will get taken care of before it is painted.

ALL PICS WERE TAKEN IN THE SHED SO THEY ARE CLOSE UP

The side and grille (got a new grille that I will put in when it gets painted)

REBUILT 318 ENGINE (COMP CAM, HEDMAN HEADERS)

MY NEW TAILGATE THAT I GOT AT THE SALVAGE YARD

THE INSIDE (COMPLETE WITH CLUTTER AND NO RADIO)

ANOTHER SIDE VIEW

Nice looking truck.  I always liked the older style but Dodge sales went thru the roof after they came out with the new "big truck look" which every body else tried to copy.

A friend of mine has been picking up this style Dodge from all over the country; he must have 6 or 7 now. His are all 3/4 or 1 tonner 4WD jobs with the Cummins Diesel. They are all in really nice shape.

I have a '93 D-150 short bed 2 wheel drive. It came from the factory with the 3.9 (Dakota) engine and an NV-4500 5 speed. Real strange set-up , but I sure do love it.
The tranny is the most valuable part of the whole truck now!!  LOL

Looks like you'll have a better than new truck when you're done-very nice. Long live Mopar!

Brian, I have the exact same set up in a D150.  The 3.9 is a great engine.  We have it with an automatic in a 96 and 97 Ram as well.  Also a 90 with the 5.9 and 5 speed with over 600,000 on it.

Those were good simple trucks.  I had a great 86 W100, wish I had kept it around but needed money back then.

Hey, I have the same truck, but mine is sitting right now and with gas going back up again it'll stay sitting!!! 1991 was a throttle body inj 318 and the gas milage was bad,I got 10mpg to 12mpg and that was it,they eat oxygen sensors like candy, also ball joints and 4wd problems..With that said I do have 140,000 miles on mine, and I do start it once a month and drive it around the farm..........

that paint scheme is not all that rare, i had a 1987 that same color and there are lots of trucks around here in Ia. that color. mine was a two wheel drive with red felt seats.

I also like that body style. I have a 1989 1/2 ton with a 318 & 4 speed. It has 235,000 miles on it & the drive train has never been touched. It still runs good . the steering needs work though.           it's awful loose. i've had. brake problems with it. It hauled home many AC's for me. I drive a ford ranger , chev 3/4 ton , & chry van, but still have a soft spot for the old dodges & of course old AMC's too . I have a 1967 AMC marlin that needs restoring.

You can tighten up the steering by installing a Borgeson steering column shaft in place of the coupler that came standard.  I replaced mine and it is solid.  It replaces  the loose coupler with u-joints.  Much better...

The old style dodges' are bringing decent money down here.A lot of people like that style of the cummins engine which was simple to work on.Great idea for dodge back then but they just had such a cheap made body to go with the engine.

I've got a '93 W250 4x4 5speed with the Cummins.  Its got about 175,000 on it now.  I'm the 2nd owner.  Its just a driver for me for now, kickin' around the idea of puttin' a ball in the bed.  I think I'd need some helper springs or maybe new springs in the rear though..put any weight at all in the bed and it squats!     -Wes
