I have a ca that has a bend in the front steering arm. With it being cast, can I heat it with a torch and straighten it without damaging the arm. Thanks Ron

That arm is more likely cast steel. I've heated and straightened the fork on a single front wheel by heating with a rose bud tip and jacking with a port-a-power with good results.

If it's bent, it's not cast iron.  Heat it up and bend it back (carefully).

I refer to parts like that as  casted iron. Heat and bend or weld with mild steel if needed.

It's probably forged steel, not likely to be cast. Heat it up and bend it back were it belongs. Cast won't bend very fay without breaking.
