Is it me, or do some of you other guys notice this too,,,,
when you NEED a particular part, you can't find one.
when you DON'T need the same part,,,there everywhere!

Yea, I think that falls under one of Murphy's Laws, like when you drop a wrench it must land directly under the center of gravity of the machine you're working on. Charlie

I remember borrowing a special wrench twice in less than a months time so I bought one for myself. I never used it in the next five years. Go figure.

How about when you sell a NOS part cheap...then 2 years later you need it and spend 3 times the amount to get another....makes me want to be a hoarder!

Now when you get back into to the OLD OLD OLD Tractors there is where the BUCK begins. And to some's surprize after they buy a OLD OLD OLD tractor they think the parts are TOO TOO high and can not afford to fix them when they do find parts.

unfortunately. My favorite is when you order a part and they send it to you in the mail. And you never see it.....

Charlie's right about Murphy's law....arrrgh.
I 'lost' my one and only 3/8 drive,7/16,6 sided deep socket 3 years ago,after working on a snowblower(not mine).Looked everywhere,had a nice clean floor after looking, tidy shop too!Took me 2 1/2 years to find it again in my shop.Found it in a drawer full of 5/16" nuts ! Don't ask, I have NO idea WHY it was there... 5 weeks later(again winter, fixing a snowblower) I 'lost' it again.I've checked the shop(aka garage), and still can't find it.Yes, I've looked in ALL the parts bins this time,but it's still MIA.
Arrrgh...Murphy..I'd like to 'meet' that guy !!

Eldon, "be careful what you wish for". I need to join "hoarders anonymous". When you become one (me) you can't put up buildings fast enough to store stuff LOL. Off to southeast NY State Tuesday to pick up a B-112 donor tractor for the one I have. The bonus is it comes with a sickle bar mower. Bob@allisdowneast
