Hello I have a diesel D 17 that I changed the fuel filters on, and now, how do I bleed the air out? I'm used to (excuse me) Oliver's and IH's where there's a hand priming pump to bleed the system, but on this old gal, there isn't such a thing, any help would be great, thanks.

Aren't the filters below top of fuel tank(fill it up)?Don't they have bleed plugs on top of bases. Let gravity do the work.

I used a shop vac to prime mine. I loosened the hose at the pump head then put the vac hose on the outlet side of the vac and used it to pressurize the fuel tank.

Also once you get clean fuel to the pump, crack an injector line at the easiest injector to get to. We always pull started them to save on starter and batteries.

Thank you very much for the advice. I did the shop vac trick and it worked like a charm, it's up and running, and I bled each injector line too, thanks again!
