Can the oil pan come out without removing the front axle from my B ?  Its a cast iron pan if that makes a differance. it is leaking bad and I want to replace the gasket.

Yes it can. The hardest part is getting to the bolts that are back inside the bell housing. Once you get those out and the pan loose, move the pan forward, drop the rear portion and slide it out.

Some will come out without moving the pivot plate forward some and some will not.
I have had several B's that the pan would not come out any which way it was wiggled. I posted pictures a while back of pans that were slightly different/longer on the corners.

I would add the style of cast iron pan is a factor as well. Here are three of the different styles I'm aware of.
