looking at a char lyn gear for power steering on my 1952 wd and wonder why you can't use the factory hydraulics to power it? is there a reason why this won't work and has anybody tried or done this. my only use for tractor is plowing driveway in winter and backing trailers in. please coment.

The high pressure and low flow system of the factory hydraulic system is not compatible with the Char-lyn system.

Even if you could plumb in a priority valve and a relief valve to get the pressure down to what you need, you probably wouldn't have enough volume and you wouldn't have steering when you push the clutch in.
