One of my B's has what I would term an outside grasp radiator cap. (The ears of the cap turn and clasp over the outside of the radiator nozzle) Another of my B's have an inside grasp radiator and fuel cap. (the ears of the radiator turn and clasp into the radiator nozzle) I believe all of my gas caps are inside grasp.

Can someone help me with an explanation here? TIA

non presure radiators use the same type cap as the fuel tank only not vented [pre ww2 ]  modle  Bs    Presure type caps [ as you discribe ]  lock on to the out side of the radiator filler neck  and have a spring and a rubber seal  they are rated by poundage presure type caps are  mostley the same size the higher the presure the higher the boiling point   these caps wont fit fuel tanks [ unles yours has bin modifed with a rad filler neck] presure ratings are stamped o n the top of the  cap kep the presure low  on old rads 3 to 5 #
