On new tractors what is the difference between an Independent 540 and a live independent 540? Tks.

Live independent means the PTO has a clutch of it's own and is not effected by the engine clutch. Live PTO is what you have with a WD or WD45 by using the hand clutch. It is not independent of the foot clutch though.

Then you have the 190 hydraulically actuated semi independent PTO clutch. That's the set up I like best of all.
