Here are some pictures of my 1955 WD45. It belonged to my wifes Grandfather so I thought a restoration would be a great way to honor him.  Hope you all enjoy!

Is that all the better you could do? LOL  WHAT A GREAT JOB!  Looks better than "show room".  What does the wife think about it?  Must be proud!  Who is the "good looking guy taking a ride"?  A pass me down, (he hopes),  I am sure that he will treasure.

You did a very nice job. I only hope I can get mine looking that good. I am in the process of fixing my grandfathers WD45 up as well.  It has seen some serious abuse over the years.  He bought it new the year my dad was born so its been around for a long time.
Great-grandpa used it, grandpa used it, my dad used it to truck farm and now I'm using it to till and plant a few small fields.

As a side note I cannot wait until I can take my son for a ride on mine, hes only 7 mos.
The combine was easier since he can'f fall out of the cab!

Beautiful job on the tractor.   Family tractors always have a special place in all of our hearts.   Great job.  I'm sure grandpa's looking down with a huge smile on his face.

I love the silver manifold & silver alternator color scheme - sets it off VERY nicely.

Don - do NOT show these pics to your three WD45's....they will call family services on you and ask to be relocated to a foster home that will give them shiny new clothes (paint)....LMAO!   Mike

Thank you everyone it shure feels good that you all think it looks good. I had a lot of fun with the restoration but the real fun was plowing with it this fall. I took her out and turned over 15 acres with the three bottom and she pulled like a champ!

What an outstanding job!!!  They never looked that good new.
Besides that it is a FAMILY TRACTOR!!   One that has very special meaning.
I think of things I have of my father's and Grandfather.  They are so Very SPECIAL to me. I am certain you wife is very pleased that you took the time to restore this special unit.

You have brought that old girl back to life, a great way to honor your wifes grandfather. The picture of you and your boy....that says it all. A fourth generation Allis man in  traning. You, and in the future he, will carry on the proud name and history of Allis Chalmers. I can't wait to give my kids a ride and tell them my grandfather and father farmed with our WD45. Way cool feeling I'm sure.
