As 2010 is winding down, I thought it would be cool to start a thread containing this year in review. Post anything, tractors, trucks, shops, anything cool that you want to. Maybe a project you worked on and completed, or didn't. Post anything you want that happened in 2010, good or bad!
Here is mine, this WD that we are currently working on. A corn picker will be attached to this sometime in the near future. Hope that this gets things kicked off.....

Heres another, the "sugarbush" got a new stand for the bulk tank. Later the building got a couple coats of red paint.

I was in my one and only tractor show this summer, won't bother doing that again. While I had the loader off I had my cylinders rebuilt, cost me $800, hope I never do that again.

  2010 for me was the year of high dollars stuck in my rear end...of my One-Ninety project that is. It started out as a third gear fix, which led to fourth gear, new collar, better shape second gear, ring gear and pinion, and a different rear end housing due to the pinion shaft bearing had spun at one time and somebody just put it back together that way and left it for the next guy...me. I had thoughts of just parting it out but there wasn't anything good to part out really. It is back together now and drives and shifts great. 2011 will be the year of the motor and new paint. I've stuck alot of money into it but it will be most likely the only tractor I ever own and this model is exactly what I wanted.

2010 Was a good year for AC around my place.
Bought the 620 with snow blower, wheel weights, and chains in April
 Got this 59 D14 rebuilt and running, and won best original at the local show in the summer
 Found out my 6080 puts out a bit more than the 83 hp it is rated at. Dynoed at a little over 100 hp in the summer
 Finally, I bought the D15 II

Our son seems to have a knack for using a spray gun. He is hoping to fix up a tractor for his next project. We have our eye on a WD45 with widefront for him. I hope we can make that work out. We are proud of his talents and are hoping to encourage him more.

Fun idea for a post, Don. Lots of great stuff going on! After 40-plus years of sitting on flat tires in a corner of the barn, my wife and I unearthed the old kit-built trailer her grandfather used to take camping. To my surprise, the tires (Ward's Riversides) inflated are still holding air. Haven't got a clue when it was built. A Model T friend says the axle is from the front end of a 1918 Model T. I'm hoping to rig a ball hitch on the D-14 to use it on chores around the property. The trailer drawbar is a foot higher than the tractor's but we'll come up with something.  ------------- 1959 D-14 SN/21089 "Martha" |

Dad finally started showing his tractor along with mine. He bought a gooseneck to haul his JD A and my D14 around (in the meantime, Mom had a cow). I really enjoyed spending time with Dad at the shows and meeting new people.
I joined The Butler Co. Antique Engine and Tractor Club located in Morgantown, KY. I've really enjoyed their friendship and look forward to having shows and rides with them next year!
Made a trip to Wisconsin this fall and picked up a John Deere H for Dad. He basically funded my D14 rebuild so I owe it to him to help on the JD.

I hear ya Oldoug, We got a D-19 diesel, its a whole different ballgame when working on diesels, wallet will get hit hard everytime!
Redline, your son did an awesome job! That is really nice!

This was taken when I got Lena out of the woods in May 1999. This was early this summer and she has since had a new water pump,radiator added,and gas tank. Air cleaner is almost ready and the steering wheel is going to Minn-Kota.  And she runs great and was driven around the outside of the shop(not mine). I need to get the fenders fixed up and do the wiring for E start and there are a few other odds and ends to finish up. I started on it in the spring of 2000 and had every nut and bolt out of her. Mine is a continuous project. When I find time after work, once the kids are taken care of, and into the wee hours of Saturday and Sunday mornings..... Getting there, couple of little things to take care of and then I can put all my new goodies on.

It was a pretty good year. Took a road trip to Indiana and brought home an AC #2 plow. Took tractors to three shows. We got the old 72 combine out for the first time. Bought a 90 for next year, and plowed a few acres so the boys could see how to do it. Got the flatbed on my pickup and painted the trailer. Brought home another IH #8 plow (free and only about a mile from home) Had a road trip up to MI to pick up a snap coupler disk (Thanks Don Snow)

I got to attend the Orange Power of the past along with Bob Henry from Northern Illinois for the 1st time this year. It was very enertaining to see! We watched Dale & his son preparing to do a Wasp Hat Dance after disturbing there home in the baler. Also Bertman starting his pulling capabilities. Bob & I got our exercise covering the show both days and decided that we could use a relaxing cart for transportation for next year!

Redline, a cow and a calf and some fencing will solve that problem, but you won't get to play on the Orange as much. Or you could rake it and bale it and sell to some Horse collector. Charlie

Well its been a busy year.....got engaged Bought my first 3 tractors, this being #1 when I got it  and how it looks now  #2 the WC  and #3 I'll have pics of when I get it Saturday.... Here are some pics of the tractor pull in Bellevile Ontario this year. My sister and my dad went. Also all the dignitaries, ie radio and newspaper people got to use dads D15 for their pulloff. Dad is on the left in the last pic. Also another pic of loaded up for another pull.

Geting a "pro-antique. wheely-bar requirerd" WD45 built. won 9 thopies this year. 2 best of shows at a local weekly car/truck/ bike night. They have a band food and beer. they had 4 tractor nights this last year I won 2 best of shows. Two 2nd place at hungry hollow in rice lake Wi. Three thirds at hutchinson. Two 3rd place at Ithica wisconsin last pull of the year. Very happy with the results of the hard work Phil Brown did on the pulling tractor for me.     ------------- Allis orange blooded by family.
