Its at Rickenbacker, on the auction there is a place to click for a map but from 270  get off at Alum Creek Drive and go south, you cant miss Rick. Anyone besides me notice the entire injection pump plus drive is missing?
A little info on those engines
Whats happening in the military (besides them being old and obsoleted) is that any diesel engines that use the rotory pumps are giving them fits. This is because they are  using JP4 or whatever for fuel that has absolutely zero lubricating properties. They were locking up injection pumps faster then they could buy them. You will notice at any auction that they are also full of Hercules and GM diesels with rotory pumps. You can read all about it by searching the subject on Google. Those 3500s are not ordinary fare.  It is an interesting engine with internal features different than most. David Ferguson can quote the specs if anyone is interested in them but basicaly the Military did not want mark II engines for replacements for the 3500s already in service so A-C built them a "3500" long after nobody else could buy one,I have seen blocks with 85 dates. David told me that he last shippments out of Harvey were those 3500s for the military. They have fully counterweighted cranks, 1 3/4 wrsit pins and some additonal meat here and there in the block. I am really not an expert but a person who knows says they would be like a 7080 engine with no intercooler and a 220 fuel system. The dyno tag with mine said 150 some ponies at 1800 RPM. The pump shop added 15% to the delivery when they changed the governor (must be done) and it's STRONG in the tractor, thats all I know.

That is not a government surplus auction.  It would end in .gov if it were.  Those kinds of folks buy up stuff from sites like gsaauctions.gov and then resell them at quite a mark up.  If you want to cut them out, start perusing gsaauctions.
