Guys: Do any of you know the part number or have a photo of the counterweight used on the venerable HD6-G machine?
I would like to try to find one or two near the east coast if possible. Thanks Orangeman.

Same as the HD5G

Guys: I know your busy with the Holiday seasons, I can wait on the pics. But still would like to see them sometime. I have seen at least two different sets of weights. What manual were the dozer weights covered in?
Coke do you still run your HD 5 or did you part with it for the FiatAllis FD5?
I am in New York State.

With the winch you shouldn't need a counterweight. The winch is usually enough to counterweight. mudder

I still have 1- HD5G, and the FD5 F/A , on the counter weights there were a couple different ones. One set I seen on machine in Iowa had the AC logo cast into it.. My 5 has 2 weights (both seems same size).
Counterweights could be low grade iron and in many cases will not sell even for scrap price. Friend had some from crane he scapped , had to haul to landfill.
Believe the weights and attachments were in TS5 parts book. Somewhere i have that ?? burried somewhere ?? Like the 20" of wind swept and drifted sonw over weekend kind of puts everything on hold .

I was just noticing the counter weights on my HD5G are 2 different sizes , dang owned it for over 30 years and just learned something new. Inside weight is 1/3 thicker than back outside one. Inside weight has a cut out (but not full depth of the weight) on top to allow a chain hook to index with top lift pin that is across that slot. Outside weight is open across top to expose the full pin with it's cutout. Part # cast into outside weight but did not write it down and memory faded.
Went to move it today to clear snow and ran for 5 minutes and filters pluged up , so another job to do .
