| Hello , I am restoring a 1940 Model B and would like to know what color paint to use ? I have used Persian #1 on another tractor and it is a very light orange compared to the original darker orange. I have not received any help from dealers and the paint company web sites show nothing. Can anyone Help?????? |

| I dont claim to be a painter...but-what primer are you using? I believe it can be a difference between say: a red oxide primer and a gray primer. Also, how many coats of 'color' did you put on? that probably would be a bigger factor than the primer. |

Persian Orange 1 is the right color. Who mixes it and what formula they use may change things but the PPG 60080 is kinda like the standard. Are you sure the "original " color is original? PO 1 does seem to have a lot less red to it than PO2 or Corporate Orange.
