Orange earns it's keep today in a couple inches of snow!  Here are a few before and after photos of our 1964 D17 IV; 517 Loader; McKee Snowblower.  This is Dad's original tractor which he has so generously given to me for Christmas a few years ago.  It was purchased new from the Huntley, (MN) Implement (the dealership was 1 block away from the farm!)  It has worked this farm its whole life!  My brother & I are getting our first driving lessons (about 1965)!  My son, my father-in-law, a great family friend and I all worked on remaking this piece of orange history.

Orange always looks good in the snow.  It looks even better with children.
Nice looking units.
Good Luck!

Nice tractor --- been thinking a snow blower like that might come in handy.

Thanks BennyL.  That cab had a little heater that made fall field work somewhat bearable.  Over the years the cab took some injuries and never really got healed up - it was in pretty poor condition when we took it off.

Bill, Lou, Jim & David, thanks for the encouragement.  Last week's snow was 10+ inches of wet and heavy stuff on unfrozen ground.  There were some challenges doing a good job moving the white stuff.  Today was so much easier; just a little engine RPM's sent that light fluffy stuff out of the way.  That combination sure makes short work of snow removal.

I have a snow blower for my 917, only it's green, Deutz green. I hope I've gone south before it's needed.

Very awesome looking tractor. Does it have a factory 3 point, or aftermarket on a snap coupler? Darrel

Daryl - it has factory 3 point and dual hydraulics.  I had to acquire 1 under gas tank side panel, and a new battery box from MattMN, otherwise the sheet metal and lights are all original.

NICE!!!! When I plow snow with my 45, I have to wear my Blaze Orange deer hunting clothes to be seen better. I need some more Orange on it I guess.

Wow! Sweet lookin' 17' Joe!! Nice job you guys did! That thing probably tosses snow as good as it looks! Must feel pretty neat to have your Dads original Tractor that you sat on in 65! Good luck with it, and keep it in the family.....!
