I know someone on here in the past had part numbers or information on an ARP brand head bolt stud/nut kit for the D-262 diesel engine used in D-17 and D-19 tractors. Could someone help with this old information ?? Thanks for your help.

Thank you for posting those part numbers so I can get a set to put in my old D17 262 engine.

While at it, Will somebody track down the place Mack had those annealed FIRE RINGS made for those old D17/D19 engines???  And get a another stack of them made and available again for those that still want to rebuild these engines.
Going to need them to put my old 17 Diesel head back on, and am planning on going with studs instead of bolts.
mmm, Now with studs you have two sets of threads that may stretch...Ermm Confused
So which is really better? Studs or bolts?
I know there are people putting in studs into the ford diesel truck engines to prevent blown head gaskets, so studs must be the better way to go? Smile
