I went to look at a job with a coworker one day, and noticed the familiar snap-coupler tongue sticking out of some growed up bushes.

Him being orange-ignorant, he had no idea why I quit looking at what we were sposed to be looking at, and was climbing thru the cockleburrs.  Dang IH fans.....

Lo and behold, it was the tongue on about a 6 or 7 foot disc - the fingers that the snap coupler arms tied to, were held on with twisted link chain.

I'd like to find out more about these, as we may be in need of a disc soon - have scoured the craigslists and farm sales books and Google and can't find one - anybody here got ary'n?

It's probably an 8' disk.  I have one I use on my WD and my WD 45.  Phil

The model 40 was a heavy disc and has heavy pivot castings for the gangs. The model 20 is a lighter  disc with a simple angle iron frame. The 100 series is similar to the 20, but the fore/aft adjustment is up high angled back instead of the small vertical crank on the front of the frame.

yup, looked like Matt MNs and John D's.  Basically flat and angle iron, no riser like the Model 40 or 100.

Wonder what it's worth?  Looked OK I guess, it was growed up in some buck-bushes and didn't look like it'd been used in a while - had been bushogged in front of it but it ans some other stuff was growing up in the fence row....

My neighbor has one like Matt's picture. He just sold it for $200 to a guy that is going to modify it for a 3 point and pull it with his 9N.

Since my dad has decided to get his WD-45 running, I'm going to make a trip back to where I saw this disc and make an offer on it.  He's also bought a WD sans motor, hood, radiator, etc. and 3 bottom SC plow and 3-shank SC chisel plow; since we need a disc might as well make it a snap coupler too to go with the other stuff.... just as well to start there.

Y'all are great.... thanks for the info....
