Question about the windshield wiper on the 6000 cab.  Is the front wiper assembly (and mounting brackets) the same for the rear wiper?  I am looking to put a rear wiper on the cab of my 6080, but they are almost impossible to find.

Any idea if a front wiper can be used on the rear?  I know the motors are the same, but I would still need the mounting brackets and other parts.

Would the rear wiper assembly from an 8000 series be the same?

Please let me know.  Many thanks!

I assume they are the same. Ive only ever seen 1 rear wiper on a 8000 series. Rarest option there is except agri data but ive seen more of those than rear wipers

Parts book has note under bracket, motor and mechanism. Qyt 2 with rear wiper. The wiper arm itself shows different part number for rear wiper.

Yes the brackets and motor are the same. I recently added a rear wiper to rear of my 6080. I used a wiper motor and arm off of a 8000 series but wasn't able to find the mounting bracket either. I took off my front wiper bracket and had a local shop draw up the part and duplicate it. The wiring was already there in the cab harness for the rear wiper so extra wiring wasn't needed. I could contact the shop and see how much it would be for them to make more brackets if you are interested in getting one.

Does that mean both wipers work off of that same switch? I seen the existing wiring while doing light work on my 8000's.

I believe so.  I did see some existing wiring aimed towards the rear when I had the top of the cab removed several years ago.

On our 6080, when we turn the wiper switch to the first position it operates the front wiper.  When we turn it to the second position it operates the rear wiper.

Does that mean both wipers run in 2nd position? My single wipers on 8000's are 2 speed on the switch.
