Have a 220 that im restoring and this is the first time in 30 years this tractor has ran. I can not get the 3 point to work correctly. As soon as you start the tractor with all levers in neutral the 3 point goes all the way up and can not get it down. I shut it of and move the lever to lowers and it drops about a inch or 2 if I try to jump on it but that is it. I know its got to be in the valve because I blew air in the cylinders to make sure everything worked before assembling.

And the load position lever will do that.

Make sure the spool valves are actually moving when you pull a lever.

Both rear levers must be fully FORWARD. And if that isn't it, the linkage under the console top is stuck and holding the Traction Booster spool "in". This console is identical to a 170-175-180-185 and this happens all the time when linkage isn't used and gets rusted in place.

Dr allis, I think we got it. The traction booster valve piston was jammed back got it out and it drops some. Alot of the pivot points were stuck when I tore it apart originally and I freed them up. The cast lift arms were also stuck in the housing and I had to free those up the best I could so we are thinking since it will only go so low with standing on it that its still binding in there somewhere.

With both rear levers completely FORWARD and the three point hitch fully DOWN the Traction Booster plunger "finger" should not be touching the spool and the spool should be clear forward.
