which FIAT tractors used these transmission and rearends as the A-C tractors and can you still get parts for these? how good were these tractors and was one better than the other, I had a F2 Gleaner with the little 4 cylinder engine and it ran good and had plenty of power.

6060 Used the Fiat 780 transmission.  6070 and 6080 Used the Fiat 980 transmission.  Some Ford/New Holland tractors also used the same transmission and rear end, so parts should not be a problem. Haven't had to touch my 6080 , but it's a great tractor.  Mine dynos at 108 hp.

My 6060 has about 3300 original hours and has a 460 loader on it - a great, nice handling tractor!

A couple of the Hesston tractors had a transmission common with the 6080 as well. The last batch of parts, well they thought a lot of them. One would think as many as they are around the world someone in the aftermarket would pick up on them a they have others.

I don't know how they get so much power from that little engine, I was reading about the PTO affecting the thrust bearing in the engine and the bra bearing being added to the front of the engine, does any of you guys tractors have this added front bearing or did they correct this problem? Was this potential issue noted in the operators manual and just overlooked by the operator? Another thing I noticed was the two tractors I was looking at for sale the rear axle seals were leaking, was this a problem with them or just a coincidence with the ones I looked at? Was one better than the other between the 6060,6070 and 6080? Thanks for the information. I wish I had a nice 175 with the 433 A-C engine installed.
