Years ago I remember seeing a what I believe was Farm Journal magazine with a young boy with a toy One-Ninety bar grill tractor on the cover...I was thinking it was a Christmas issue so I was thinking dated December of 1964 maybe...anybody else remember this?  I wanted to try and buy that issue but can't find a picture of one anywhere and maybe I have the magazine wrong too...I don't know.

I remember those ads. I posted some pictures here of some of those but not the one you are after. And yes a lot of them were around 1964. Allis must have had lots of money then. Same ads showed up here in Canada as well in our publications such as Family Herald and Farmers advocate.

Not too helpful, but here are back issues to 1943

Here's a 1964 issue for sale.  It shows a similar AC ad.

Did you guys in Nebraska get a version of The Farmer magazine there ?. Those were printed regionally. And weekly.

There was a publication called Nebraska Farmer.  I don't remember how often it was published; it was more like a news publication as opposed to a magazine.

A friend of mine gave me the exact issue that you are referring to about a year ago. I put it into one of my totes that I store my allis literature in, but I'm not sure offhand which tote it is in. When I dig it out, I'll try to get one of my kids to help me post up a picture of it. I'm pretty sure it was an issue of the successful farmer magazine.

I found it, have a picture of it captured in my phone. It's December of 1966, successful farming magazine.
Hopefully I can have a picture of it posted before too long. Darrel

All of my "picture posters" are gone for the weekend. If someone would PM me a phone number that I can text the picture to and have it posted, that would be great. Thanks, Darrel

They likely did from successful 50s with WD/WD45 but after 64, inflation kicked up a notch. Then again in 71 when off the gold standard. Then of course the oil knocks and 1980.

Older archives of successful farming:

I looked through early issues of the 50s for AC ads.  It was interesting that I didn't find ANY tractor ads, only implement ads until a 1954 ad for snap coupler.  I guess, technically that still isnt a tractor ad...
