That early 'U' is not far from me. It appears to have a  Robin manifold and carb on it.  Robin was an Alberta manufacturer that made aftermarket manifolds and carbs for many early tractors to convert from distillate or kerosene fuel to straight gas..  They were supposed to be a more efficient setup for running on gas only.

 I sold a pair of '30 'U's  recently that were in better shape for 1/2 what he is asking.

 I talked to the owner and he said the serial number is U25-3. Does that number make any sense to anyone here?

Split that is the casting # off the rear housing
